I saw out-fox-ed at shcool today

I always felt the influence Fox news has on the public was very overstated. The ratings Fox news actually gets are so small that only a small number of people actually see it to be influenced. Fox news is a product of the ignorance in a America not a catalyst for it.

When cable first had news, it was CNN and it waqs ESPN... lol

In the mid-90's, when MSNBC came out and coved the Monica trail 24/7 a new form of news came to America, it was what's called now the 24hr news cycle. Before hand you had CNN cover the main story, hit some world events, talk about the stock market, cover a war in the world and end it with some sports and movie reviews, all in about an hour, and all over and over again as the stories update themselves. MSNBC used the new internet to post news as it comes, and report it on cable, and their main focus was Bill and Monica, and when CNN would do world news, MSNBC hired the likes of Ann Coulter to fill in time and talk about what she thought of the trail. This would go on and on and on, and then Fox News joined, arming themselves with the best conservatives you could find, and away we go. Keith Olbermann, who worked for MSNBC at the time, quit because of how bad he felt the coverage of the Bill/Monica trail was and how MSNBC was not covering the news. Fox became the undisputed king of ratings, especially leading up to the 2000 election, and Fox was actually owned by someone who was a conservative, were as MSNBC was reporting for ratings, and CNN basically fell off the face of the earth, seen as that old channel.

Fast forward to 2004, MSNBC was still dominated by conservatives, but Keith Olbermann cameback and was actually challenging Bill O'Reilly in the ratings, most of MSNBC's main conservative annylist were at Fox and slowly MSNBC was turning into that liberal channel they are now. Again, because with the unpopularity with Bush, liberals mean ratings and that's MSNBC's goal, not actual news. Fox though, with new people from MSNBC, became even more conservative, and the connections with the Bush admin. made it hard to see the difference between Fox and the news ran in China. Both seemed to be ran by their governments. CNN, again is on the side and to this day is on the side when it comes to ratings.

Dude you live in Canada, how can you even talk about media bias? The CBC and most other media organizations in your country brainwash Canadians with left wing propaganda 24/7.

Not to mention the fact that the Canadian government hauls conservative commentators like Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant before human rights commissions for expressing opinions that the government doesn't like. What a joke.

And why is your school showing movies like OutFoxed? Do they show any movies from a conservative viewpoint? I am going to guess no.

Canadians are like sheep mindlessly brainwashed by their government.
