really good list. But there are missing some South rappers, especially Lil John. Good to see that Diddy and Nelly are on the list. I don't like Smith as a rapper, but he shouldn't be on there imo

I remember seeing that sometime last year or some months ago.  What dope are they smokin 8)?  Will Smith, why he's on the list?  Cause he doesn't cuss?  And the Chicago Bears?  Fuck what the haters say that was a good song for their time.  I still like that.  Its still a whole lot better than the garbage song the Raiders did in 1986?  They should be in the top 5 just for that song.  Only thing I remember on that song was WHEN YOU WEAR THE SILVER  AND WEAR THE BLACK.  JUST DON'T GET IN OUR WAY.  And this was when they were sorry.

Don't agree with Master P.

the Kenny's Dead song saves him from being in the top 10

;D Nope.

There're a lot of haters on P, but nobody understands that he made rules and his own blueprint. He ripped hard shit way back then '95. Sure there were better artists on No Limit - C-Murder, Mac, Soulja Slim. But he can rip track as well.

But I'm little bit hater of ''new'' P, you know, cleaning lyrics and removing tattoos, that's enough to me. I'm done with him, but I can't stop listening that old No Limit shit. It's forever.

Yup. If you judge P only on the basis of "Make 'Em Say Ugggh," he seems worse than he was. THE GHETTO'S TRYIN' TO KILL ME, 99 WAYS TO DIE, THE ICE CREAM MAN and the better songs from GHETTO D show that P can rap when he wants to.

I think that after GHETTO D, P was focusing more on being an executive and getting No Limit to branch off in other areas, while letting the other NL rappers do the majority of the lyrical sweatwork (the rappers that you mentioned--C-Murder, Mac, and Soulja Slim--all had dope shit: LIFE OR DEATH, SHELL SHOCKED and GIVE IT 2 'EM RAW still sound cool today, and Fiend, Mia X and Mr. Serv-On came tight with their's as well). I think that P should have stopped making solos after GHETTO D and just concentrated on (1) running No Limit behind the scenes; and (2) doing guest appearances on his artists' CDs, which was cool. Even back in 1998, when I first heard MP DA LAST DON, it sounded to me like P was starting to slack a little w/ his delivery, and his Tupac inflections were by then in full bloom, which for me was a distraction (P, there was only one Tupac and there's no way you can replace him)! But again, P's early stuff was dope.

Also, I don't 100% agree w/ 2 Live Crew being on that list. Sure, the stuff after AS NASTY AS THEY WANNA BE was lacking lyrically, but if you go back and listen to their first two CDs (2 LIVE CREW IS WHAT WE ARE and MOVE SOMETHIN'), Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice had some dope shit for that time, and also 2 Live was known for being one of the first proponents of the Miami Bass sound. But opinions make the world go 'round...

PEACE!

LOL....nah Will shouldn't. He has made some corny songs lately, but he made some classics, and I always respect clean rappers.

Fresh Prince shouldnt be on the list...

Will Smith...maybe so.

This list is listing some people who rapped once in their lifetime...not necessarily rappers.

If thats the case, hell....didnt Fergie try to rap on a song? Wheres she at? lol. Wheres Kevin Federline?

K.fed IS ON THE LIST...

but nah... willy got some hella good songs.. he shouldnt be on the list.. neither should yayo.. like som others wrote.. where is soulja boy? where is hurricane chris..? where is the dirty south rappers at... too many are wack.. this list is foul

Now rap music wasn't really enjoyed by the "establishment" back in the 1980s, so they were primarily guessing at what the "kids" were listening to. And "Parents Just Don't Understand" was obviously a pretty "wacky" "rebellious" little number with all that clever rhyming! And Will Smith was certainly still "safe" enough to not inspire too much controversy. Which is exactly why he's a lousy rapper.

Correct me if I'm wrong:
Will got clever rhyming and didn't have eminem controversy behind him so he is top 10 wack rappers?
I might be stupid wigger but doesn't clever rhyming mean that you got skills? C'mon now, at least his songs got a story to tell and puts you into a happy mood.

First, like half of that list were actors, football players, etc. by trade, so OF COURSE they can't rap.  Recording one song doesn't make you a "rapper".  If they were taken out, then there would be room for others.

Rappin Duke and Bobby Jimmy, yea they're not the best, but they ain't the worst.  Would Weird Al be on the top worst singers list just because he does comedy?

Will Smith doesn't deserve to be on there based on his talent/skills.  But his songs do make him look bad.

Lol... I wouldn't have mentioned K-Fed. He's not a rapper.
