rappers and the people need to quit bitching! when no one was willing to sign cats from the south they went out and grinded indie and hustled extremely hard. and that in turn forced the major labels to try to sign them which in turn allowed those southern artists to get deals that the average rapper from anywhere but the south could only dream of. you get out what you put in, itīs pretty simple. if Crooked wouldīve said fuck these majors and been willing to work 10x harder indie he would prolly be good now. but he and a bunch of other artists that claim to be bosses need to start acting like bosses. a boss donīt sit around and wait for anyone to go out and get it for them. they just get out and take whatever thereīs to take by themselves.

Does this look like a mainstream market?? Some of you all must live on the net.  The West isn't doing 1990's but they are doing steady.

E-40 "Wake It Up"
The Game & Chris Brown "Nice"
DJ Felli Fel "The Finer Things"
DJ Felli Fel "Get Buck In Here"
The Game "Game's Pain" and "My Life"
Snoop "Sexual Seduction"
Snoop & Too Short "Life Of Da Party"
Too Short & Lil Jon w/ Shawty Putt "Dat Baby Don't Look Like Me"
Warren G ft. Ray J "Crush"
Glasses Malone, Rick Ross, Birdman, & T-Pain "Sun Come Up"
Baby Bash ft. Keith Sweat "Don't Stop"
Glasses Malone & Akon "Certified"
Glasses Malone & Lil Wayne "Haterz"
Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Nelly "L.A."
Ray J w/ Trey Songz, Fat Joe "We Global"
Will.I.Am w/ Flo Rida -- "In the Ayer"

For one....of those songs, only Pain, My Life, Life of the party, and Sexual seduction got MAJOR play in every state...some of them got limited play in some areas, and for tracks like Felli Fel, it was not a west coast artist on it....and you list those, while we can name 50-80 from the South that have made similar noise or even MUCH more noise...so it's not saying much. You can just compare those four songs I mentioned to the four songs that Wayne alone has put out and got major play from...and even subtracting him, you could do it by state or whatever...we are not getting NEARLY as much play.

I was DJ'n in Florida for about a year before coming back here....and I could only get away with playing 6-8 West Coast songs that have come out since 2006...and if I didn't count 06, I might be down to 3-4 songs.
