West Africa keystyle daily log November 2008 (including pics)

Went to West Africa last year, and I made a daily log in the Train of Thought section.  This year I'm going again for the month of November.  I'm setting up this keystyle log here at the forum, to organize my thoughts, I leave in two days and will have an ongoing keystyle thread here; and probably a written log in the Train of Thought section (complete with pics from my trip I hope to upload as I go even while over there I can hit up an internet cafe at times).

Oct. 29th

Planning a trip
this year I lost my grip
slipped up, plan flipped
Guess it's all a part of
the earth's recent "energy shifts"
That's why oil prices
rise then slip
That's why a black man
is about to become president
But when election comes
Infinite gone be gone
Infinite gone be twisted up some ganja
Underneathe a West African sun
Infinite gone be risking all that
and then some...
Infinite gone be watching sunset
Infinite sleepin long past dawn
Infinite chillin,
this types of shit
alot of shit could go wrong
Could fuck up again
yo, but wouldn't be the first
Crashed a truck into a bridge this year
Riddled with debt and fear
But since this the year
of change and hope
Infinite gone hope for better days
Infinite gone be for that "change"
that phrase
that Obama has coined
Cause there is tension in my loins
But I'm going ya'll
I'm going for broke
So yo...
fuck it...
and fuck it again...
till the world spins
On it's broken axis

it takes what is good and is cleaned from what was bad
it never follows only to get stuck in a dirty path

one must protect virture and store it in a vault of patience
using it only on the most important things
in the investments that last for an eternity
nourish the soul with sincerity
when quran said religion is sincerity

and self-governed by the opinions of others
is the ruin of the soul.

I'm always aiming to please
but sometimes my needs
may be in conflict with yours
so we start wars
and find closed doors
when we try to move towards
each other
...so just let me pass
and just move along
by myself
and be one
until the day these gray clouds roll away and I can see the sun
