Justo Award Nominee DJ Ill Will & Digital Product (Collaborator with Ya Boy, Big Mike, Nu Jerzey Devil) have announced plans today for a new mixtape series called "Who Wants to Be Rap's Next Superstar."  The new series will offer up-and-coming, unsigned artists a platform to be heard by the masses.  "Digital Product and myself have been working the LA mixtape circuit for some time now, and we know how hard it is for new artists out here to get a legitimate co-sign," says DJ Ill Will, who released his latest project with Guerilla Black earlier this week.  "As I've graduated to become a respectable name out here on the West Coast, the biggest reward I could ask for is the opportunity to give back to the streets by putting my stamp of approval on quality new talent."

"Who Wants To Be Rap's Next Superstar" will feature 24 spots for young MCs to flex their talent.  Out of these 24 featured artists, one will be crowned "Rap's Next Superstar" and get the official co-sign from DJ Ill Will and Digital Product.  The winner will also land an interview on Ill Will's radio show "The West Coast Grind," which is heard by thousands of online listeners every week.

Ten thousand copies of "Who Wants to Be Rap's Next Superstar" will be physically distributed in all major markets across the United States, while the DJ pair will also use their numerous connections at the major online media outlets to assure the project reaches the online hip-hop community.  "This is a great opportunity for new MCs to get their buzz started and develop the right connections to make it in this industry," says Digital Product.

DJ Ill Will & Digital Product are accepting track submissions for this project now.  The song must be of professional recording sound quality, and be less than 4 minutes in length. All up-and-coming/unsigned artists are welcome to join.  Contact DJ Ill Will ( djayillwill@gmail.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or Digital Product ( digitalproductpmg@gmail.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) for more details.  You'll see who is crowned the "Next Rap Superstar" in early 2009!
