Dana White is correct. I can't believe you still think he can become an 'elite' level fighter in the UFC. I thought you may of come to your senses after seing what Seth did to him. Kimbo needs to either face lower level strikers or for his benefit go into the WWE and make his 'bread'.

I dunno...the fight vs. James Thompson was way different than the fight vs. Seth Petruzelli, which leads me to believe that something went wrong with the Petruzelli fight. No way is that typical Kimbo. Either way, Kimbo is a rookie in MMA...regardless of what may have happened, he STILL has the tools to become an elite fighter, and it may take some more training for him to compete with top UFC competition,  but the tools are there...PeACe

Tools? He has half decent hands and that's all. He has no kicks, no ground game, and apparently he doesn't take a great shot either, let alone going into the conditioning aspect of the sport. Time is against Kimbo, and unless he can get an immediate rematch and tool Seth then he is finished in MMA.

I'm not trying to hate on Kimbo at all, it's the way I see it.

I can't say I was a big fan of EliteXC, but this weekend was going to host a potential fight of the year - Diaz vs Alvarez. I am bummed this is not happening.

I think Kimbo gets way too much undeserved hate...if ya'll saw any of his first 4 fights, you'd know he was able to last on the ground, as well as take shots. and all that was with minimal training...people gave up on Kimbo way too quick. he deserves another shot.

i saw all of his fights. kimbo isnt a young guy, to really have a chance competing at that level requires getting on a serious training program when youre young. i mean obviously he can improve his ground techniques and work on not giving away all of his punches, but theres a whole new generation of guys coming up who are naturally talented and have the training to go with it. i have been watching UFC since the very beginning (when you had sumo guys fighting kickboxers and shit)and i have seen the league change dramatically. a guy like kimbo would have been a big hit when it was more of a legal street fight type of event, but the way UFC has evolved ould eat him alive

you might be right...but i still think people underestimate Kimbo's abilities. I just wish he woulda fought Shamrock, cuz I'm positive he woulda' won and things woulda turned out a lot different for EliteXC and MMA as a whole.

yeah after kimbo got put down in like 30 seconds alot of people switched up on liking him, but thats the way it goes with fighters. it seems to me like most of the people talking shit about kimbo were the same ones hyping him up when he was laying out all those guys. shamrock would have been a good fight... theyre both older guys who would have both been down to brawl it out i think

Kimbo was a favourite going into that fight and for a reason. He was fighting a name in Shamrock. Ken hasn't been competitive for many, many years now, and it was just a way of EliteXC building up Kimbo even further by suggesting he knocked out a legend. In fact, an unknown UK fighter knocked Ken out just months earlier.

I have only ever seen Kimbo go to ground once, and that was against James Thompson and he layed there like a wet salmon and most was suprised the fight didn't get stopped because he showed no signs of actually defending himself for some time. This doesn't consist of 'having a ground game'.
