HAHAHA! I think after watching Pierce dominate Kobe in the Finals last year we all saw that Kobe is not even close to MJ

What the fuck are you talking about? Pierce dominated Radmanovic. Him and Kobe didn't spend much time on each other, which was a disappointment cuz they're my 2 favorite players. Stop hanging out with Hack Wilson dude.

Kobe will never be on the same level as MJ was.  The finals last year proved that!

^^^^Well I still think MJ is better than Kobe no doubt but MJ never faced a great defensive team like Boston in the Finals ... back in the day the rules did not allow to play some "crowded zone type of D" therefore MJ has always been able to play one on one B-Ball ... each time Kobe wanted to drive or began his offensive moves , there was 2-3 Cetics around him .... Kobe did not play well besides Game 3 but Boston D was amazing last season  top 5 in these latest 20 years without a doubt ..

LMAO, Jordan never got molested in the finals like Kobe.  How quickly people forget recent history.  Jordan's first 3 rings were with a FAR less talented supporting staff than anything Kobe ever won a ship with.

This debate is so retarded...Jordan is so much more highly decorated than Kobe at this point.  MAYBE Kobe will win 4 more ships, rack up a bunch of MVP's, etc.  Then you could have a legit debate.

the Bulls just won 55 Games after Jordan 1st retirement and lost in 7 Games to the Knicks in the Semi Finals ... Pippen was much better than any current Lakers player not named Kobe ... last time I checked , Jordan with little help , he was swept by the Pistons .. y'all say that Lakers fans say stupid shit , yes some definetely are but this is not a reason to do the same ... yes Jordan has accomplished way more things than Kobe , but y'all act like Kobe shocked against Suns D ....  Boston made any perimeter superstar looks like shit all season long .... Lebron shot 35 percent in that Cavs- Cs series.... Kobe averages 30 a game on 50 % FG against the Spurs who were a very good D team , Boston D was just flat out amazing

But at least LBJ showed up in the elimination game, instead of allowing his team to get beat by 30 or whatever.  Kobe, like that one game 7 against the SUns, merely gave up...............which is why HE IS NOT JORDAN.  Is he as talented as Jordan?  DEFINITELY----------but fact is, Jordan never went out in finals game like that.

Kobe still has ALOT to do to get on Jordan's level as far as acoomplishments go, and isn't that what sports is all about?  Not potential or ability, but RESULTS.  6 finals MVP's, 6 championships as leader means Jordan is still WAY ahead.

The comparisons do hold weight, but its still not that close..........

Lebron did have a way  better game indeed .... I just take him as an example to show how Boston D was great ... my whole point is when people here will understand than praisin one player or another doesn't take anything from the others ... all these this one is better than this one is getting ridiculous , especially when nobody is arguing and is turning against a Lakers fans against others BS .... Imo Jordan is the greatest , it doesn't mean Kobe is the worst

Right, because Laker homers are definitely objective observers capable of rational analysis. When Kobe leads a team to 6 rings, then make the comparison.

Michael Jordan is #1 all-time in points per game and #3 all-time in points. Kobe Bryant is not in the top 10 all-time in points per game.

Michael Jordan is #34 all-time in assists and #74 all-time in assists per game. Kobe Bryant is not in the top 100 all-time in assists per game.

Michael Jordan is #3 all-time in rebounds and rebounds per game by a guard (behind Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson). Kobe Bryant is not remotely close.

Michael Jordan is #2 all-time in steals and #4 all-time in steals per game. Kobe Bryant is not in the top 50 all-time in steals per game.

Michael Jordan is #1 all-time in blocks and blocks per game by a guard. Kobe Bryant is not remotely close

Nonetheless, Kobe is still a work in progress and he can catch or surpass Jordan in some of the categories i.e allstar games played/mvp. But Kobe won't come close to Jordan in Rebounding, Steals, Assists, the other 'team' components beside just scoring.
