I really don't care if Snoop has a Quik beat etc. etc. As long as it's dope, I like it.

it's not sad

I can think of tons of albums by good rappers that had weak production

therefore the cd sucked because it's boring

Okay maybe I stated myself wrong... no it's not sad that we are looking for the producers.. cause yes producers deserve alot more credit then they get.  But my point is.. to  me it seems like people look at a cd more for the production credits then for the artists ability.  For one.. just look at the club scene.. it's not always the artist that make a hit.. it's the freaking beat.  You can ask some average girl and she may not know the name of the artist or the producer but she likes the beat.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is beats and producers are carrying projects more than they used to.  Back in the day it was the artists lyrics, storytelling etc.. not so much the beat.

So now days.. instead of always checking for the artists, more people are looking for who produced on that.

I've seen people be like.. man I don't like that feature.. I don't like the tracklisting... but hey.. there's a primo beat.. I'll check that one out.

Beats are carrying albums more so because the mcs rapping on it can't rock the beat right. There are a gang of weak mcs that got deep pockets to get some dope producers.

I actually don't give a shit who does the production, I just care that the production is good. I hate features, I think an artist should know how to pull his own weight and stop thinkins music will be special because he puts Lil Wayne, Akon or T-Pain on it because it just makes their songs sound like everyone elses.

yea for real... i remember section 8 hat like 2 feats... cube and techniec.. and eiht dident have they names all over the front... and its one of the best west albums i ever herd... when a album has a feat o nevery track... u know its to bring more peopel to buy the album.. games new album was litered and not one decent feat... bullshit

I don't get it. I mean we check out artist cuz we're familiar with them...why not do it with producers? I know guys like JR and Quik producers bangers so its natural for me to check them out. Where as I know Darren Vegas fuckin sucks so if I see his name I'm more likely to skip it for now and check it later.

It's natural to do that. I do it alot if it is a collabo between 2 artists that I never knew worked with each other before. But as far as letting it affect me or influence me from listening to the whole album, nah.

yeah it's not necessarily sad.

unless prejudgements lead to sleeping on certain tracks/albums/artists
