What's best for a sore throat?

I woke up this morning with a sore throat, I was gonna get some fishermans friend, but the 7-11 was fresh out.  So I got 2 packs of Halls menthol.  Seems to be workin.  But if anyone else has a smart ideas I'd like to hear em. 

I think I'm also gettin a fever.  I'm gonna load up on the advil.

I'm gonna drink some scotch when I get home.  I thought about it this morning, but I can't drink at 7am.

nice,im known to tackle a bottle of scotch with a couple stogies from time to time. yeah showin up anywhere drunk/buzzed that early in the morning is never a good look...however it makes shit a lot more interesting. in the mornings i would suggest hot black Tea...throw some canela (cinnamon sticks) and/or honey in that bitch and your good to go. in the evening,whatever puts you to sleep the fastest...
