field a team that wins rings, and with some of the profits you'll get, build 200 fuckin youth fields!

build a team that sells out the 56,000 seat stadium, more than 5 times a year!

build a team thats worthy of wearing LOS ANGELES DODGER jerseys.

the dodgers are one of the biggest NAMES in baseball...but over the years the actual..quality of the dodgers has been in a free fall. 20...TWENTY years without a WS win?!?! for the seconds largest market in the US?! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!

now im not saying to trade away martin, loney, kemp, billingsley, etc., but i am saying that we have a chance to build an EXCELLENT team, RIGHT NOW, without trading away our young core. we have a chance to field a GREAT team for 09 and beyond.

the question is, will mccourt pony up the $$?? it takes money to make money. this year attendance was down...then manny hit the stage and BOOM! sell outs, and a shit load of revenue generated by him. you cant deny the manny factor. hell, you cant deny the SUPERSTAR factor.

so, basically, if mccourt cant afford this team, sell it, and go buy the fucking royals or some other team that no one expects anything out of. but this is LA, we expect RINGS motherfucker. WINS. SUPERSTARS. THIS IS LA MOTHERFUCKER.

LOL. People are saying that the Giants are interested in Manny, God I hope not. Yeah he is a great hitter but I love how the Giants are rebuilding, I don't want to bring in an old player with no defense that can create problems in the locker room.

they'll do everything they can to finish 2nd place in the bidding for Manny

McCourt made millions off of 2 months of Manny being in LA without paying for him and that's all he really wants from him

no way in hell the Dodgers will give what's being asked for

hell, it aint even necessarily about manny. shit, i dont want him either, IF ITS GONNA TAKE A 6 YEAR CONTRACT TO GET HIM. i would much rather see the dodgers overpay on the yearly avg, for a short contract. but if we cant get him, there are still GREAT options out there..we could get sabathia or peavy. hell, if we wanted, we could get tex, but we already have a good 1B, so that would be stupid.

its about fielding a team that can WIN. spending money on GOOD players, not pieces of shit like jones and schmidt.

recently jaimie mccourt backpedaled in an interview with the la times. saying that she was only 'philosophically comparing' the two scenarios (big free agent or 50 youth fields).

if the dodgers dont spend this off season, to fill one of the many holes we have, then everyone is gonna be pissed.

how the fuck can you charge 15 dollars for parking, and 90 dollars for a ST game, and NOT sigh a big name FA?!

yup, but tex is 28 and entering his prime..manny is 37, or about to be 37 and his prime is behind him..although, he can still hit the shit outta the ball...when he wants to.
