Chuck Berry didn't invent Rock and Roll. Little Richard did, just after he invented food.

He claims to have invented everything about Rock and Roll and years ago sketch comedy shows started running with it and adding to his list of inventions. The point I was making was that it was stupid to credit any one man with the creation of a genre of music. Elvis had more to do with the creation of rock than most black music fans want to accept, but still he had very little to do with it, as did Berry and Richard. Memphis created rock and roll and if Elvis, Richard and Berry never existed, Rock and Roll would still be here.
