holidaying in the US

looking at taking a holiday in the US, but with the currency exchange going to shit, i'm not sure where i should go

currently its coming up to $10k (including flights) going to LA for 4 nights, sanfan for 3 nights and vegas for 4 nights. add new york (4 nights) and washington (2 nights) it brings the total up to $17k! i'm pretty much gonna cut out washington, is it worth going to NY?

I'd cut out LA, SF, and Vegas honestly. I love LA but unless you're going to disneyland or universal or you have a shitload of money and a personal guide it's really too vast and not worth it. Same goes with vegas in regards to money. If you're not spending skrill on gambling or going to shows, why even go? SF can be fun because it's very tourist accessible, but I wouldn't spend more than 2 days there without a purpose. DC and NY are probably your best bets for American flavor. But hey, this is just my opinion.
