Not on 2001 Level
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:33:11 AM »
All this leak are not bad songs . We can say they are good songs for a generic album but not for the album we are waiting for nearly ten years ,not for the best hip hop producer not  for the perfectionist. The songs are basic but none of this song can be a classic joint . So i hope they are not detox song. They are far from 2001 songs and i can't even try to compare this with one song of the chronic it's useless. It's some good song but none of this song can surprise me! And that's what i want from this album new sound a good surprise . For now it's just already heard type o song and beat . Not bad song but  nothing special.

Topless is easily better than several tracks off of 2001, even in its unfinished state. And it sounds different then anything Dre has produced. I don't particularly like T.I., but his verse is good and he's rapping it for Dre. I could definitely see that song on the album. I think Detox has been delayed for so long that your expectations have become unrealistic.

someone said it, I think what's being done here is that Dre has so many songs (100's for Detox) he's leaking songs that won't make it.  It's making quiet a stir for the album so far. Listen to the dude in that song talking about George Bush. That' song appears to be easily over 1 year.

1 THING I HATE IS HOW THESE SO CALLED "GHOSTWRITERS" ARE NOT CREATIVE AT ALL, ALL OF THEM. SO FAR EVERYBODY IS JUST WRITING THE SAME PERSPECTIVE FOR DRE, JUST BRAGGING ABOUT DRE'S SUCESS. THAT'S MAD CORNY. IF THEY SO ILL THE'LL GET MORE CREATIVE FOR HIS WRITING. I'M GETTING SICK OF THE SAME BRAGGADOCIOS RHYMES FOR HIM.

word, T.I. sounded good on it but I think Dre will sound much better rapping on it, especially with Nas on the track...  8)

First off, T.I. isn't going to be featured on that song, he was obviously ghostwriting for Dre. And Crack A Bottle was mediocre. The beat was banging but the hook was leak and corny with Em trying to sing and the lyrics were average for someone of Eminem's caliber. I expected more from a Dre, Em, 50 collab. I'm glad its gonna be on 50's album since his is the one I'm least looking forward to.Topless is the best leak to come out so far. Sick beat and lyrics.

i personally like everything i've heard so far.  "topless", "i am hip hop", and "coming back" are sick.

I didn't say it's bad but may be my expectation are too high but for me i'm waiting to something a little better tose song are not going the face of hip hop even if there good song . but when i listen a Dr DRe track the first thing i listen it's music then the lyrics because we all he use ghostwriters. And like someone said they lack some originality . To me none of this song musically is better than  one 2001 song it's just my opinion . Lyricaly of course it's not difficult to step ur game up when u don't write ur lyrics!!! Of course it will sound better with Dre on it but i'm waiting on better song for someone who drop an album every ten year!!
