wow, Europeans catch a lot of heat on this forum....speaking of ignorance

however, if you want to count the posters that act different from who they really are, or at least make statements while meaning something different, then it gets a lot more complicated.

but the ignorant people do make a lot of noise, so i figured that the truth needs to make more noise.

this board is really the only place that ive ever known that hated on soccer. every1 i know never hated on it or compared it 2 football. totally different sports.
i mean seriously if u consider soccer a sissy sport, might as well consider basketball, baseball and any toher sport that doesnt have as much contact as football. soccer i would think would require more stamina and speed than any of the other sports. ive always liked soccer but its not my fav sport. i always wondered y they hated on it, it seems like they only compare the two sports because soccer is called football to the rest of the world.

Whats your definition of "hatin" man? If I think soccer is fuckin wack, that doesnt mean Im "hatin" on it. I aint sittin over here like..."man Ima try and make sure soccer dont blow up in the US". THAT would be hatin. Just like alot of other Americans...I just dont really like the shit. Sometimes I can get into the World Cup just cus its such a big ass event. But for the most part, soccer is just boring as fuck to watch. Its like if they played Basketball on a HUGE court, where each team only scored 1 or 2 times in a game. You think people would watch Basketball then? Americans either like a lot of action, or a lot of strategy. Soccer seems to have little of either. The action is far and few between, and strategy....cmon.

^^c'mon, football has to offer a lot of tactical depth and action (of course, not always). We both have not enough knowledge to judge about the other sport, football has a depth you guys don't see, and the other way arround. But let's not grab this topic up again ;). I have no problem that you guys don't like football, I respect that your culture has different preferences, as long as you don't say 'soccer is a sport for pussies' I have no problem with you. Of course, the last discussion was started by Sick-Boy and a provocation for you guys, but usually it's the other way arround. So let's leave it with that and show some respect for each other.
