I didn't even know they were.  I just thought Dr.Dre tossed Game out of his knitting circle for not playing nice with 50 Cent.  But I thought that was more just giving him the cold shoulder than actual beef.

As Dre said in an interview a year or so back in LA Times he just didnt feel like getting involved in Game or 50's beef. I think Dre Em and Jimmy know 50 is just a bigger name than Game and that 50 would be pissed if Dre worked with Game and wouldnt make sense for Dre as 50 = more money

People throw out the word "beef" way too much. To me, it seems like Game decided to start a campaign against 50 at a time when it would hurt Interscope's pockets pretty badly, not to mention Dre's. That's the thing. It wasn't like he just threw out an insult here and there, he put out whole mixtapes and DVD's telling his fans not to fuck with 50. At the time, they are putting out his movie and the soundtrack and one of their own artists is costing them money. Game said many times that Dre told him not to do it and he even promised him he wouldn't. It could be more to it than that but on the surface, it seem pretty clear what happened with Game being moved to Geffen.
