Tragedy. I went out on Wed night, and my only stipulation to going out was that the girl I was with drive. She ended up gettin a DUI. I felt very bad for her, but at the end of the day my instincts were correct that I knew I shouldn't be driving. I'm not gonna shit on the guy that killed this pitcher...we all make mistakes. Live and learn.

I take it you've never gotten a speeding ticket or something? I have...on multiple occasions. Thank God I've never killed anyone w/ my vehicle, but if I did would you look at me and say "well he does have 6 speeding tickets in the last 10 years, he's a piece of shit"? Maybe you would, but I believe we are all people and we all make mistakes. Not at all excusing what he did, but I'm not about to get all holier than thou either.

A speeding ticket, or 6 is a different class than a DUI. There are thousands of people on the road right now drunk as hell, and if they get caught they should be punished. Driving is crazy enough without impaired people on the road. We need to forgive this guy? I understand your point but how many times was he going to drive drunk before something like this happens? We will never know but if he didn't learn anything from his first ticket he was too cool to worry about a second one. He had a chance to change. He decided not to. You can agree he should be punished for life without thinking he's a piece of shit.
