First unplugg your cd burner from the computer and then plug it back in nice and good.  If it still doesn't show up, then go to control panel and click add new hardware and have it search for your burner.  IF that doesn't work try plugging it in to where your D drive is.  And if it still don't show up I don't know what to tell ya.

if that doesnt help...check the jumpers on the backside of your drive and check all the cables. re-install it completly and check for new drivers or any new software for your drive (and your OS). If it all doesnt help...go out and buy a new one

ok..

if your drive was showing up before, and its not now, inside your computer you probably have a thick grey cable going from your cd burner, to your motherboard. follow the cable at both ends. unplug it from your cdrom, then plug it back in. on the other end of the cable where it connects to your motherboard, just push down on it a little, not too hard or you'll crack your motherboard, and that means no more WCC.

if that dont work, see if it opens when you press the open/close button on the cdrom, if that works, hit me up with a reply & i'll help you out.
