Why do most people not recognize WEST COAST talent outside of California?

There is some good talent out there but it seems like no platform is out there other than going to Cali to get music heard

Yeah hopefully with Willy Northpole putting his album out it will give more recognition to AZ. Vegas is still building but we got some MCs out here. Quite a few dope MCs in New Mexico also.

its just like most people ignore see the east coast as mostly NY and possiblt Philly and New Jersey. People tend to ignore WC, VA etc. Mid-west has the same problem. Usually its because the city/state hasn't come with its own style or had enough successful rappers repping it hard. Just think if Timbo and Neptunes made a huge thing outta being from VA it would be on the map just as much as ATL.

People do but people wanna hear the people with names.  Most people wanna hear MC's/Rappers/Producers from they area, not on the other side of the country.  The south is dominate everywhere bcuz they just have that sound and commercially it's just better and melodically it's just more catchy (regaurdless of people's feelings on here, it's just a forum not a country).  If New Mexico was a big state like Texas is, trust me you wooda been herd more
