If you consider only up to and including Restless then yes. But his newer stuff (last 2 albums) were pretty awful IMO. Also the whole Pimp My Ride thing was pretty weak.
HELL YEAH! could be the most consistent rapper around still; he has NEVER disappointed me with an album & just continues to make GREAT music.X is definatly one of the best to do it.
1 thing I'll say about Xzibit was he really don't get the props he deserves in West Coast circles. I mean people talk about Game being the one who single-handedly brought the West back but I think Game had shit at his disposal for his first studio album that Xzibit didn't get until "Restless". Xzibit dropped two classic hip-hop records without heavy guest spots and big A-list producers. If you listen to 'Speed Of Life" and "40 Days, 40 Nights", it's Xzibit's flow and lyrics that carry those records. By "Restless", he had that Aftermath/DPG camp involvement as well as other big guests. Game came out the gate with a single produced by Dre and featuring 50. That's the one thing with Game and his quick rise, the majority of people look at Aftermath as the start of his career. I think his Get Low stuff is very rarely regarded when analyzing his career. It's kind of a blessing and a curse in his case because I think when you come out under that umbrella, it's always hard to establish what part of it is you and what part is the team you surround yourself with. What do y'all think?
