Holy $#!+, I just realized something:  If Ice Cube is on Aftermath now, then he might be able to hook up Del The Funky Homosapien (Ice Cube's cousin) with some Dre tracks (even if they're leftovers)!

Could you imagine Del flowing over Dre beats?!? Damn, I sure hope that Cube hooks up Del (like he has done before). :)

LISTEN:

I'm sure Dre trusts Cube to handle his album on his own and be responsible.  These are 2 rap veterans who have been in the game for 15 years now.  Dre doesn't have to baby Cube, like he did with Hittman, Truth and Em's first few albums.  Look at Eminem, and how fast "The Eminem Show" dropped.  Dre only had three tracks, cause he knew EM was responsible to go on and do his own thing.

Dre will let Cube have control, gathering his own producers, and Dre will prolly do between 3 - 5 tracks.

Now you might say this isn't true because of Rakim's situation.  When he got signed in late 2000 those two have never worked together.  SO they spent a lot of time fucking around getting use to eachother.  They prolly didn't start seriously recording for "OH My GOD" until late last year.

Em is handling 50 Cent, Cube will handle himself...and Dre's got Rakim.  So y'all can chill and let shit circulate.

True, true. This is the best news i've heard all yr, it's nice to hear some good news for a change  :)

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

From what I've heard, that already happened once in the past, exactly when I'm not sure.  I'm guessing it was either in the early NWA days or after Dre & Cube reconciled (mid-Death Row era).  Supposedly Cube took Del to the studio to work with Dre, but Dre was frustrated because Del couldn't follow his directions and stick to a topic.  I'm sure Dre recognized his talent but they are just on very different wavelengths.  From what I understand, they just parted ways and wished each other luck.  Again, this is all hearsay.

Dre is extremely versatile but one thing he really can't do is that zany, wacky shit like, say, Prince Paul or Automator, which is what he'd have to do if he worked with Del because Del doesn't change for anybody.  The closest Dre has come is the beat for "My Name Is" and "Automobile," but I can't imagine him doing a whole album like that.  I don't think Dre will ever give up his darker, menacing, sinister edge again since he reclaimed it with 2001.  Just my opinion.

I think someone mentioned it on a message board at SOHH.com a while back.  I took it with a grain of salt since I've never heard that story anywhere else.  Could be true though.
