Eh, for a group that was suppose to show what real hip-hop is and all that bs they sure showed how to decrease themselves to you average rapper this day with your average club track. It sounds like they were going for a mix of Kinda Like A Big Deal and We Made You.Move On remains the only real top notch Slaughterhouse track.
IT could be. Budden's Padded Room had the same problem. It would've sounded a lot hotter if someone else mixed it or mastered it better.

Give us that Detox sound, that "Topless" and "Show Sum Love" sound...

I can't believe this is the final version.. If it is, it's the mixing that is ass.. Not the mastering.. I feel this would be a banger if they coulda fucked with it more..1) They couldn't have made a more hollow sounding snare, I know they coulda subbed another one in if Khalil chose that whack of a snare.2) The guitar riff needs to be LOUDER. It's the driving melody of the whole beat and you can BARELY hear it.3) Why did they take the 1950's approach with the chorus? I want to feel like this woman is belting it out live with the group, not being sampled in from the stone age..4) The vocals are mixed on point.5) No intro? Seriously?? Just right into the chorus loop? No Khalil...This has to be a radio mastering, there's no way it's gonna sound like this on the CD. They gotta remaster it and leak it again cuz I bet alot more fans download this song than radio DJs.
i imagine the poor mixing has something to do with the fact that the beat was very likely supplied pre-made by khalil and that's as far as his involvement went. it's not like they would of had the budget to go in with him properly - someone else has obviously recorded the vocals and done the final mix, hence the loss in quality
