Forgot Makaveli, and The Marshall Mathers LP.
Makaveli is commonly considered a classic (do I need to say more)
TMMLP became 1 of the fastest, and most highly Controversial albums even though Rap had already layed down its foundation. The content invoked Eminem to be investigated by secret Service (For his threats against bush as well as other stuff). It became a Critical Masterpiece amongst a lot of fans.
Also Slim Shady, but really TMMLP deserves to be on the list more.
Also Ice Cube's The Predator possibly. Lethal Injection's reception wasn't as good as his previous 3, and only was criticize for virtually no political content and just pandering to Gangsta Rap.Only drew Minor controversy do to the track "cave bitch". Also Should be noted The Predator (As with Death, and Amerikkka's most wanted) were seen not only as precursors to the riots, but were seen as the general Mind state of South Central L.A.
