hey there west coast/arizona hiphop fans or fans of underground albums that are suprsingly good but goes unnoticed, check out C-Thug's "I Am Arizona" album (TMG/SMC/FONTANA) that dropped last month june 23 the same day arizona native dtp member willy northpole dropped his album. this album is a much better representation of arizona, than "tha connect."
this album packs suprising solid production from local az producers(who can hang with the big name producers) that give this album a big southern sound with a lil west coast vibe to it. plenty of knock for your systems.
also what also helps this album is that it has alotta big name features such as Young Buck, Lil Flip, Lil Boosie, Dolla of konvict(rip), C-Bo, G. Malone, Juice (BWS), Willy Northpole, Mistah Fab and more...
he might not be a top notch spitter but he comes solid/decent with street,trap raps. alotta different tracks to jam to for the streets,radio, and some deep introspective cuts. of course an album like this has a couple of filler material to go with it, but still its tolerable. after soaking up this album for a couple weeks after buying it off amazon, im impressed for this indie release that seems to be slept on by peeps outside of arizona.
if im correct C-Thug is still signed to warner bros since 07 but hasnt dropped anything major yet, so this is like his debut, indie, street album release.
