And no ace is a proven thing in the playoffs too. Just look at what Jake Peavy has done in both of his starts. Sometimes pitchers just have bad days, and this could be any ace.

You don't casually become an athlete, you become an athlete because of its competitive nature. Ignore Peavy, read the article there are also good examples in there. CC Sabathia didn't come through for the Brewers last year vs the Phillies, and that's the main reason they traded for him.

Peavy turned down trades to two contenders and has shit the bed in any big game he has pitched in, WBC included. I'm not saying he casually became an athlete, but wants nothing to do with the grandest stages of them all. Dude is a pussy. And CC is a bad example as well. Dude was worked to death that last month of the season. And in that playoff game he was being squeezed big time. If he gets the calls he should of, that game ends up completely different.

Kuroda pitched amazingly in the playoffs, and is not even mentioned this year in the "are we ready for the playoffs" talks. It's fucking frustrating seeing the local press ask to trade an elite young pitcher in Chad Billingsley for a rental.

Though it is tempting. But the Jays ain't serious about moving Halladay. Unless someone overwhelms them, Doc is staying put. MLBtraderumors reported the Jays turned down Weaver and any prospect out of the Halo's system. Halladay won't get moved until the off season at the earliest. And Doc also recently said he WANTS to test the free agent waters. I don't see him getting moved.
