So Vick is back...kinda

Just the other day i heard about a "friendly" "reliable" pitbull mauling a horse which ultimately led to the horse having to be putdown. Personally i don't believe Vick "strangled", or "shocked" the dogs to death but rather the D.A offered Vick's cousin a deal in order to prosecute Vick to a harsher sentence thus allowing the D.A to make a name for himself

Pitties are far from being an ideal family pet, just look at the American pittie in particular, it's banned in many countries around the world. I've seen some that are well behaved though etc. Did he really torture animals? I thought he was just involved in dog fighting. If so, then his punishment was deserved.

Pitties are far from being an ideal family pet, just look at the American pittie in particular, it's banned in many countries around the world. I gotta agree with Spice on that one, two of my friends are pittbull owners and the dogs are two of the nicest/well behaved dogs i've been around. A dog's behavior depends almost entirely on its owner.

I've ben around many pitbulls in my life and yes I've never had a problem. But they have been banned here (Canada) for a reason. They have a killer instict that can come into play at moments and once it is turned on it can never be turned off. I've heard plenty of cases where a perfectly normal pit went crazy and attacked innocent people or dogs, or cats. I once hearda story of a St. Bernard stomping his choking owners upper stomach and dislodging what was choking him. If Vick killed that dog I'd say hang him high.
