So I'm tired of using my laptop to surf the net & download stuff; plus I want to set up an entertainment room. I bought a 52' inch LCD tv last year and use it to watch dvds and play xbox360. I wanna mimic my friends set up and he's basically got the same thing....smaller tv, xbox360, phat sound system and a desktop hooked up.
I wanna purchase a desktop, on which i was download Blu-ray movies and watch them directly on my lcd. and burn copy or rip dvds. plus i can use it for gaming as well (the computer that is)
so the desktop im looking at is gonna set me back about $1500 plus tax.....
and its specifics are:............
[Am i over doing it for just a media center??? do i need all these components??? I'm not too keen on computers...someone help me out .......let me know where i can cut cost....i dont wana spend that much loot on a computer. Blu-ray player with the desktop is a must....i shoulda bought ps3 instead of xbox360 but w/e my desktop can have the blu-ray.] please help
