As much as I like Papi his stats seem the most suspicious of anyone (with the exception of Barry Bonds)

His stats aren't that suspicious. A lot of players have a really good plate discipline and develop power right around the same age time Ortiz started to hit for more power. The steroids just added to this effect.

Yeah, they see themselves with pockets full of cash. Why would a player feel that bad about this? They're the insiders, they're the ones that see the culture in the locker room. We're outsiders, we have no clue who does what how many people do what, etc. If anything, they're probably joking about "damn dogg, you got caught this week HA hopefully I can manage a few months before I have to do a forced interview just to please the media whores"
