A private memorial service is scheduled for the DJ Thursday at the Hollywood Palladium, a Los Angeles nightclub where Goldstein frequently performed. In October of 2008, less than a month after narrowly surviving a fiery plane crash with Travis Barker, Goldstein returned to the stage at the Palladium, spinning for friend Jay-Z.

Thursday's memorial will be held in the style of an anonymous 12-step meeting of the kind AM might have attended in his road to sobriety, which led to eleven drug-free years prior to his death.

"Adam's friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life are welcome," the invite reads. "We ask only that everyone adhere to the tradition of anonymity and let what they hear there, and who they see there, stay there."
