Why does nobody recognise Dead Prez as been the tightest duo in Hip Hop. After listening to Lets Get Free over 100 times then I would say they're a better duo then Gang Starr & OutKast!! They got tight beats, the best lyrics in Hip Hop (same level as Ras Kass) and near every song they have made has had a message. Stop sleeping on Dead Prez and give them the props they deserve.

I think their one of those groups that aren't always recognised but not quite slept on. I mean they do get props, but I find their not really versatile in their messages, I mean when I want something thats about social commentry etc their perfect, but not everyone wants to listen to that 24/7, thats why I like artists like 2Pac so much because he can do the social commentry thing but then switch it up and make club bangers and easy listening type material. Thats the same reason Ras doesn't get recognised often, because he's a little too hard for some people, I can appreciate him because I like songs with messages but there's a time and place for him too, if you know where i'm coming from. But the thing with Ras is that he's starting to make more upbeat songs and he'll probably get more exposure with that.

But anyways, I do like Dead Prez, but i'm just not their biggest follower.

Oh, and I have a recommendation for you, check out Immortal Technique, he's very similar to what Dead Prez are all about.

Word, Dead Prez is one of my favorite groups. Let's Get Free is such a solid album. If you want raw beats and dope lyricist than you should cop it.

It's pretty obvious why they are slept on though. Cause alot of people don't agree with what they say, I disagree with alot of their message too. I do admire how they say what they want and don't care whether you like it or not.

Yeah, on point, I think thats pretty much why Ras Kass gets slept on by many too.
