It's not like he did it in less ABs. He's up there, maybe at the very top, for most ABs as a Yank, and by a lot when compared to the greats, so why shouldn't he have the hits record? Is he the Yanks best hitter ever? No.

it's def not the biggest accomplishment in the world but Jeter could end up with 4,000 hits by the time he retires

he'll stick around until he does it.
but he has to have solid 200+ hit seasons for the next 6 years.
