people read some books for entertainment, some read books by demand of teacher, some read textbooks & books for knowledge, some read books for a better understanding of something job related.
about .02% of the world reads a book to feel a step above others on a message board & to hold "good discussions" online lol.

You're assuming that Tom reads it for online purposes only. People read things because they love it. I have an interest in politics, so I read books about politics. Right now I wouldn't be in your shoes, because I'm not the cheerleading type of fan that types in caps to express how I feel about my team. And there is nothing wrong with being that way, but that's just not my style. RAH RAH is just not my style.

I've even read books about Babe Ruth who was GASP A YANKEE :o I also enjoy reading books on politics. Let me guess I will never be a politician so I shouldn't read that either ? Where in Queens you at so I can smack you upside your head ? Actually very few of the books I have read I have rarely mentioned. But I read so I can front on a message board. When I have said I read books so I know the game of baseball ? That was one of your assumptions. And just because someone played pro ball doesn't mean they know what they are talking about. In 2004 Raffy Palmeiro won a gold glove at 1st base even though he only played 14 games at first that season. Do you know who votes for the gold glover winners ? Fellow players. Just goes to show you a lot of players really don't know whats going on. Jeff Francouer said OBP isn't important because they don't show it on the score board. Yet OBP is one of the most essential elements in evaluating a player. And he plays baseball lol. I really did a couple weeks ago try and come at you with respect and talk to you about the Mets but you still on some bull shit.
