Dr. Dre’s Detox has been a long time coming and the delay is about to get even longer. When asked by ABCNews.com what’s been keeping him busy, Dre laughed, “Only my album that I’ve been working on for the last 10 years, that’s it, Detox record.”The hip-hop pioneer shot down any glimmer of hope that the project is coming out this year. “Hopefully I’ll get it done at the end of this year and we can hear it next year.”What’s the holdup? “Motivation, other things getting in the way, that’s it.” And headphones. Just last week he unveiled a cheaper, lightweight version of his popular Beats by Dr. Dre.www.rap-up.com
its going to drop in 2010
You're an idiot if you think it's actually taking 10+ years to complete Detox. Clearly, he's started various recording sessions and then lost the motivation to release another record. The tracks for various versions of Detox were given to Aftermath artists - Eminem, 50 Cent, Game, & Busta Rhymes. Dre's work ethic shouldn't be questioned.
I'm laughing at all the people that are still waiting for this album. Who cares about this shit after all those wack ass tracks that leaked. I have a feeling this album is going to be some wack shit along the lines of that first Aftermath Presents album. Compilation style. Yes I know both the "chronic" and "chronic 2001" were compilation style but at least they were WEST COAST. He's gonna sell out and drop some POP shit.....
I still express, yo, I don't smoke weed or a sess.Cause its known to give a brother brain damage. And brain damage on the mic don't manage
