They just aren't making shots.  Period.  I watched the game against Jordan and the Wizards last night.  I think they can still be one of the top teams in the league without Shaq.  Kobe is more swoll, bigger now, he's biult like Jordan was in his prime.  I think he can take it to Jordan's level and now is his chance without Shaq in there.  They just need to start hittin their open jumpers.  Btw, when is Shaq gettin back?
