Umm I have not heard anyone mention Jerry West, who was with Memphis around that time, and used to play for the Lakers.

Kind of like Mchale trading Garnett to Boston, where he used to play and his former teammate, Danny Ainge is running the team. Good or bad if that is what you are being offered and you take it, then it is a close case but I always found that funny with Gasol and Garnett that West and McHale weren't shot in Memphis and Minnesota LMAO.
