Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon has confirmed recent reports that his joint album with Method Man and Ghostface Killah was pushed back to next year.

According to The Chef, fans will appreciate the album when it is released in February.

"We wanted that pushed back, I fought for that because I felt that it wasn't enough time, the chemistry is still boiling," Raekwon explained in an interview. "When you think about us putting something together, it's gotta be stupid so my brothers are respecting my feelings on it, I'm respecting their feelings on it, we all saying the same sh*t so. At the end of the day, when yall get the album, enjoy it and get ready for some other sh*t." (57th Ave)

Reports of the album being delayed into 2010 landed online earlier this month.

"[Redman's] Reggie Noble 9 1/2 and the forthcoming Method Man, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah´s album are moving to an early 2010 release date," she wrote in a statement. "Stay tuned for an announcement of the official release dates." Both projects were slated to arrive into retail stores next month with Wu arriving for the holiday shopping season on December 22nd, but will now be pushed back until next year. (Press Release)

I think its a good idea to put more time into the album. I got high expectations for it and I can wait a few more months.

As for the Redman a pushback might be good, maybe Reggie will have 2nd thoughts on the auto tune tracks
