11/18/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Superstar rapper Jay-Z is expected to debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the fifth time in his career with his new release, The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse. When the final tally for first week sales are released on Wednesday (November 20), it has been projected that the rapper will have sold more than 600,000 copies of the album.
Jay-Z's string of consecutive Number One releases was broken in December 2001, when the rapper's Unplugged failed to arrive at Number One. The set broke a string of four consecutive Number One bows, including: The Blueprint, which sold more than 425,000 copies in its first week to notch the Number One position in September of 2001; Vol. 2...Hard Knock Life, which debuted at Number One in October 1998; Vol. 3...Life And Times Of S. Carter, which premiered at Number One in January 2000; and The Dynasty: Roc La Familia 2000, which arrived atop the chart in November of 2000......THATS LIKE 300,000 COPIES ANYWAY CUZ REMEMBER ITS A DOUBLE CD
