Rumoured celeb lineup

Mark Owen and Mel Giedroyc have emerged as two of the rumoured contestants taking part in the Celebrity Big Brother series.

Owen, 28, was a member of boy band Take That until they split in 1995, whilst Giedroyc, 34, is one half of the comedy duo Mel & Sue, best known for their stint hosting the C4 daytime show Light Lunch.

They join a lineup of DJ-turned actor Goldie, 36, American model Caprice, 31, and comedian Les Dennis, 48.

Ex Corrie actor Denise Welch was also due to take part, but pulled out today after her son was rushed to hospital with a bowel infection (more here).

A spokesman for the show refused to comment on the lineup, saying that the identities of the six wouldn't be confirmed until the day. "We are not able to confirm or deny who the contestants are," he said. "We can't state who will definitely be in the house as it may change at the last minute. Last year we had people pulling out right up until they went in."
