TIGER Woods overdosed on a “sex” drug and booze before his notorious car crash, doctors revealed last night.

Tiger Woods had taken large amounts of the sedative Ambien, which can be used to heighten sexual pleasure.

He also took the painkiller Vicodin, a potentially addictive drug which both Eminem and Michael Jackson were hooked on.

The whole lot was washed down with drink, it was claimed. The amazing revelation came as Tiger’s personal life spun closer to total meltdown yesterday.

His mother-in-law collapsed at his home and was stretchered to hospital just hours after her daughter, Tiger’s Swedish wife Elin, was reported to have packed her bags and quit the family’s £2.5million Florida mansion, along with the couple’s two children, to move to another house nearby.

And reports in America brought to a total of eight the number of babes alleged to be involved with the sporting idol, with even more said to be waiting in the wings.

Tiger, 33, is reported to have OD’d on drugs after a furious row with Elin, 29, over his womanising. As the blonde beauty went wild, the drowsy star staggered out to his Cadillac Escalade, drove away from the house and crashed into a tree and fire hydrant.

Tiger – who was checked in under a false name – was unconscious and struggling to breathe unaided when he arrived at Health Central Hospital.

Doctors battled to bring him round and used tubes to help  him breathe. Medics classified him as an “overdose victim”, according to an official admissions chart.

They were sworn to secrecy and in a bid to protect his squeaky-clean image Tiger was at first given the alias William Smith. The whole fifth floor of the hospital was placed under “lockdown”.

Meanwhile Elin handed over two bottles of prescription drugs which she claimed he had taken to a state trooper. The officer tried to get a blood sample because he was convinced the golfer was driving under the influence.

When troopers arrived at the crash scene Tiger was lying on the floor next to the wreck, drifting in and out of consciousness and,  it was claimed, clearly under the influence of something – not alcohol.

Elin is believed to have told officers that the golfer had been drinking earlier in the day and was prescribed medication. But a request for a blood test  was denied because of insufficient evidence.

Police said publicly that alcohol was not a factor and merely issued a £100 ticket for careless driving.

Further signs that Tiger’s marriage was on the rocks came yesterday with reports that Elin had not only moved out but had bought a new £1million home back in Sweden.

Tiger – real name Eldrick – is believed to be still living in his family home. He has been trying to keep Elin’s departure quiet in the hope that he can persuade her to give their marriage another chance.

If they split, the golfer – worth £600m – could face one of sport’s biggest and costliest divorce battles. The latest woman to be linked with the sportsman was porn actress Holly Sampson, the 36-year-old star of films such as Diary of A Horny Housewife and Emmanuelle In Paradise.

Her lawyer said yesterday that she had nothing to say on the matter. Sampson joins party girls Rachel Uchitel, 34, Cori Rist, 31, and a range of busty and usually blonde waitresses, models and nightclub babes named as alleged mistresses.

Tiger was also linked yesterday to an eighth – a 26-year-old Florida waitress. His lawyers are reportedly braced for more “other women” to emerge as they try to cash in.

A British TV presenter has also been linked with the golf legend – though both were single at the time of the alleged fling and  she has fiercely denied the claims.

Gatorade released a statement Tuesday saying the move to discontinue its "Tiger Focus" drink had nothing to do with the golfer's growing scandal and that the decision was made before Tiger's car crash and allegations of extra marital affairs.

A Gatorade spokesperson released this official statement to RadarOnline.com: "As reported last month, we decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010.  We hope to share more about our 2010 plans soon."

Unofficially one Gatorade rep told RadarOnline.com that the company's "partnership" with the golfer will continue. That rep said: ""Our partnership with Tiger does continue. Tiger and his family have our support as he works through his private matter."

But when the company released its official statement, the part about continuing its "partnership" with the embattled athlete was noticeably absent.

When pressed by RadarOnline.com for clarification if Gatorade plans to continue a relationship with woods, a company spokesperson refused to comment.
