i guess hes recording everything centered so he gets sort of a mono image out of it, which is important for radio singles later anyway, and then in the next stage he mixes the track down in the studio, fattens the track up, and then gives it away for mastering

i kinda like the idea, should try that too sometime, but im probably not disciplined enough ;D lets see..
