that way they can make sure their shit gets played and play other westcoast artists, they can play south/east stuff too but not as much of the west of course

i always had a dream where i would have a tv channel thats dedicated to westcoast music but would play some east/south stuff

rather than rappers complain, should they just start up a radio station?

And then what play only the old school & new west shit...trust there's a lot of talent on w coast newer then just the "new west"!  But if there's no segregating of talent and it's a united west coast then it's a good idea

that's preety brilliant idea, but if it has to be big (it has to, that's the point, right?), that's really ALOT of money. i doubt if any rapper could afford / want to lay out that kind of grip on such a shaky bidness. chipping in also won't happen, if it would, we would probably see massive beefs over money in near future lol.

YOu'd need somebody passionate about the station & have money.

Nobody would have both.

But it if was a famous rapper, with other affiliates, the station would get exposure simply from getting exclusives, like the way Shade 45 does from Eminem and G-Unit members. It is possible...but I doubt it will ever happen. As people say, it's a great idea in theory, but it aint that simple. The radio is a dying business anyway, I don't know why people still go on so much about radio play - people in their rides bump CDs now, people in their rooms go on the internet for new music and people check the TV for the hot singles. The radio isn't what it used to be.
