na Joell has been dope way before SH it was just his beats on The Bodega were weak in some places. His tribute to Pun (one of the first tracks i heard pre-aftermath) is lyrically on another level. This song and video gives me faith in NY hip hop
no doubt i wasn't saying he was bad or anything before SH, but he has just risen to another level. i think i was comparing him to the rest of slaughterhouse where i rated him behind royce and crook but now i think i rate him ahead of those 2 in terms of recent music. i enjoyed the bodega, gave that a lot of spins.

aight sorry I misunderstood you. I'd def put Joell ortiz over royce and crooked just cause i think hes a bit different. Technically royce and crooked are sick but lack the character imo of ortiz.

The ending is so cute, where Ortiz actually get the girl back!

Allot of Joell's apeal comes from the fact that you can just hear his love for hiphop
