It was at the Source Awards (I think 2000) and Mac Minister got his ass whooped by 40. Mac Minister had been spouting off at the mouth around this time that he was responsible for all of E-40's slang. They ran into each other at the awards and Mac Minister, being the loudmouth idiot he is, was talking all this shit to 40. At first 40 ignored it but then he was pushed past the breaking point and Mac Minister's little crackhead ass was no match for somebody of 40's stature.

E-40 ended up writing a letter of apology to the Source for the incident. He also lost a lot of jewelery in the scuffle (Shit fell off him and random ppl picked it up).

This is the same Source Awards where DJ Quik was arrested while trying to break up a fight out on the red carpet. Also the same Source Awards where Death Row rushed the stage. I think E-40 might have even been rolling with some of the Death Row crew because of his affiliation with Mac Shawn. I've heard numerous times that there is video of Death Row rushing the stage but have yet to ever see it.

I think it was 40 and his whole entourage that beat up mac minister...but mac minister ain't really no skinny lil' crackhead...that fool is pretty crazy looking and big
