You wouldn't say that Chuck D is west coast relevant? I mean, think about his fingerprints on Amerikkka's Most Wanted with Ice Cube, Sir Jinx and The Bomb Squad. What about, "Burn Hollywood Burn" with Ice Cube and Big Daddy Kane from Fear of a Black Planet? A lot of people don’t realize that Chuck D (as Carl Ridenhour, also known as Carl Ryder) was a producer in The Bomb Squad, which he breaks down in these interviews. Public Enemy transcends any “east coast – west coast” label - - as they were a pioneer for all of hip-hop culture worldwide.
Haven't had a chance to read this 2nd part yet but I'm certainly looking forward to doing so. Chuck is the man. Props to DubCNN for these types of interviews with straight up LEGENDS.
when is part 3 dropping? nice read
