Ras Kass is one of the dopests and lyrical MCs many younger people may have never heard. Putting two solid albums out early on his career, a dispute with a major record and legal troubles kept him away from the mic. He's back in 2010, however, and he shows no signs of slowing down. We got to chop it up with him and speak about his views on the game and his upcoming projects.

I bought the album for $8.00.  People try to deny that digital downloading has hurt rap artists, but if you noticed Ras Kass was always signed to a major label until the illegal digital game took off and he was subsequently dropped.  I believe that's because artists around that 300,000 albums sold range could no longer make it on the majors after more than half of those sales were subtracted due to illegal downloads.

I hope this new method works for Rass Kass and similar artists such as Canibus, Mos Def, Kieth Murray, and so on
