A book that is more than 33 years old will most likely have a radical approach in order to put out the idea  preventing the exponential population growth. It's no secret that many extreme environmentalists back in the 70s are some of the leaders in the world today.  And again, Bill Gates just wants people to have healthier kids so that they can stop making kid after kid since they keep dying young.

Your response is based on a faith, how do you reconcile that, with the fact that these extremists are in administrations? and secondly with the second link?

It's not on faith, it's on actual policies they've accomplished over the years.  It is impossible for these people to be in those roles if they implement these radical ideas.  And the reason these radical ideas aren't going to be done anymore is because of technological advances that has happened in the past 30 years.  The article written by Robert Kennedy Jr shows you why we still need oversight and regulation...but people seem to think that this is just terrible.  Robert Kennedy Jr is one of the biggest environmental voices out there, odds are he's in favor of somehow reducing population growth that is done in a humane way of course.

Why is it impossible? if the media don't make a big song and dance, then all you are treated is the warm cuddly message which reassures you that everything is fine and it's all for their own good.

Have you even read the second link? it totally undermines your sweeping statement

You want to know why it's impossible?  Because there is this party in the United States called the Republican Party who would NOT let any sort of radical environmental change without a fight.  In fact, there isn't any sort of progressive change that liberals want because of this.

I did read it, and my statement still stands.  If we actually have people with the interest of the people in mind to regulate the businesses and government then shit like this wouldn't fly.  Instead, thanks to privatization pharmaceutical companies have gotten to big that their money influences government.
