some shit Im working on
« on: March 19, 2010, 12:23:10 AM »
workin on a few verses this won't make sense till Im finished

Call it the dark ages,
history for Christianity
For a Muslim it be,
age of light and discovery
 following the moon,
as it shines brightly
Giving light to dark
world surrounding me
The similitude similar
to candle burning
Allah projecting the light upon light
giuding touching all 4 corners,
the Ummah is emerging
Islamic Spain surging
renassaince age
of Science and learning
Mathematics and algebraic
equations we inventing
Worldwide trade expandin
off waves of Ocean Indian
To crossing the Sahara,
West Africa back again
Mansa Musa ruling
in justice and peace
seeking Hajj
For deen to be increased

The sun's gonna rise
tomarrow we're believing
Even this in essence
represents belief in being
In the divine order,
Islam in the fitrah
Never a quitter
tounges wet wit thikr
Abstaining from liquor,
never that,
they mind's slow
we stay quicker
Allah protect me
from being a pretender
Put me in a state of purity
like babies birth,
make my heart cleaner
prostratin in the dirt

Ameen

1.  Allah is the creator, no creator but Allah
  a.  it is Allah that brought us together, if not for him we would not know one another
2.  Islam is a state of being
  a.  sun and moon are Muslim
3.  No ego because we submit 5 times a day in prayer
  a.  The salaat brings us together.
4.  Someone who is submitting to Allah, praying and fasting regularly Allah gives them a Nur.  The first Muslim I met him before he even told me he was a Muslim, I thought to myself that their was something different about him and that he was the best person I had met in my life.  He dealt with people differently.  Even people at the job that most people would avoid because they were crazy, he treated them well and had friendship with them.  I would ask him why he would talk to so and so, I would say so and so is crazy, he would respond that where he's from if somebody is crazy then you have to stay close to them or they will become more crazy
5.  For him it wasn't about about ego.  For him it was about being a servant for Allah and enjoining the good wherever he went and with everyone he met.
6.  We can all go out and do this dawah.  We shouldn't consider it anyone else's duty.  As a Muslim people are going to watch you and take notice of you and we are the spiritual physicians in this life, so if someone is sick and devoid of guidance we should always have a good word to offer or atleast be good in our actions.
