THE D.O.C. 2010 Voice Update Re-thread.
« on: March 10, 2010, 06:41:52 PM »
well the last DOC-voice-update thread got locked over a couple of douche's debating penis size. WTF...

I've personally spoke to The D.O.C. over the phone last year, so I know that for a fact the dude was skeptical/weary of doing any surgery.
I even asked him if he was uneasy about it cuz he seemed unusually confident about doing something like that & his response was something like "they gonna be poking holes in my neck dogg wouldn't you be?" that might not be 100% verbatim but It certainly does imply that there's was/is some hesitation. so It's very possible that he may of had second thoughts after all he already went though losing one voice why risk another?. I can't blame him, he's been through enough all these years. although I don't for one second believe he's lost his will, dedication or spirit to keep writing (if not for himself but others as well) or even record to stay in the game. there has been far too much wack shit that has come out to plague this rap-shit. it's all about marketing & entertainment. the art is being lost through this wack industry regime.

It's my opinion that kat's like Cube, DOC, etc etc etc... has what it takes to put out a few more SOLID records to let the west-cost & all of the hip-hop game know that the true ART of MCing has not been totally lost. if DOC is done with trying to fix his voice, then good I won't cancel him-out & say that it was a failed attempt. it was a good idea but from a fan/personal stand-point he sold me w/ HELTER SKELTER. & Dre wasn't even on that project so IMO he STILL don't need Dre's label nor would he even need Dre's approval. but dude has MAD loyalty to Dre, the two of them are GREAT friends so I see it being a challenge for The Doc to get past any disapproval on Dre's behalf. so really it only a matter of DOC stepping up to the plate for his die-hard fans (i.e. me), he sure as hell doesn't have to but it sure would be nice to hear him spiting over an entire album like Helter Skelter again.  :'(

I know Luna is more of a professional at this than I am, but I'll try to get a hold of DOC again & get to the bottom of all this. hopefully Lunatic will do the same if he hasn't already, I didn't see him comment on the last DOC thread but maybe he has more/better info on this. after all he's a much more reliable source than those other two flaming idiots...

I know all this coming from me is conjecture, but I'm certainly not here to waste any ones time, but I am here to talk about & help support the future come-back of one of the BEST HIP-HOP MC's known to mankind!!!!

yeah i requested the topic to be unlocked.

props for this :)

like i said before, he needs to stop listening to Dre & get commercial success out of his head.
he just needs to make sure the vocals are loud enough on the songs

would love to hear both the reference track and the one he did with Slim Da Mobster, I have no luck finding them on internet search.  Any chance you have either or know where to find them?
