That's what I mean. It wasn't actually a really bad film but to say that its 3-d when there was hardly anything 3-d about it is just a scandal.

I liked the movie itself.  But I read from three separate reviews that the 3D was ass, so I saw it in 2D.  Like Dobbies said, it wasn't filmed with 3D in mind.  They released the movie in 3D pretty much as an after thought, after they saw how well movies like "Avatar" and "Alice in Wonderland" were doing at the box office.  I feel bad for the people who weren't aware of that before hand, because I think advertising it as a 3D movie when it wasn't filmed for 3D was a little misleading.
Movie itself wasn't great either.  But I still enjoyed it.  I always liked the original version when I was a kid, so it was cool to see it updated with modern special effects.  Of course, there were a lot of changes to the story as well, some of which I didn't mind and some of which I wish they hadn't done.
It was cool to see Liam Neeson and Ralph Fienes as Zeus and Hades.  I have to say though that while Sam Worthington wasn't bad as Perseus, he didn't really contribute much to the role to make it memorable either.
The action on the other hand was handled quite well.  And I think Louis Leterrier has a nice eye for action sequences in these kind of films.  Which is good, because that was one of the main draws for me, with this movie.
Over all, I'd say the movie was solid entertainment, but nothing any deeper than that.

+1 for the info, bro. If I can get up early on the weekends for the $6 matinee I won't have 2 pay 3 extra dollars.  I still wanna check it out, even though its not like the original which I never seen.  I just remember in the early 80's a classmate having a clash of the titans lunchpail with the robotic owl on it.  Unfortunately, the owl isn't on the new version.

I am a huge fan of the og.  I went and saw this the other day...not in 3D.  I thought it was a pretty dope movie.

Avatars 3d was over rated. It was a gimmick and people fell for it.And now everyone else is trying to cash in on the gimmick,it will die out within 2 years.

Yeah the 3D was a total cop out as it really did nothing for the film whatsoever. Sure, it wasn't worse, but it never made it better, and considering they charge an extra £2 or whatever for the 3D version its a bit poor on their part to not offer extra value for money.

The film itself wasn't great, mainly because they tried to cram such a huge story into such a short film and it didnt fit. Certain scenes were good but it just didnt work as well as it should have.
