On first listen I thought it was decent.

After many tracks coming onto my ipod on shuffle I realise 90% of the tracks are fucking awful...and I'm usually a big E-40 fan.

U gotta have the bass up to fully feel the beats. Listenin to the album on my mp3 player at work the beats don't sound all that, all u really hear is the drums, snaps, horns, repeating sample etc . But in the car u can really pick up the bass and the song sounds 100x better, mixed in with the other sounds it adds a whole new feeling to the song. 40s flows always ride the bass too

I really like the albums, but their are a lot of fillers. I really really like about 10 tracks, the rest I skip. Lightweight jammin, over the stove and trained to go are instant classics.

At first listen when I skipped through the tracks I thought it was gonna be dope as fuck. Mostly because of the beats. Then when I listened to actual songs all the way through I was hearing the same shit for the most part. Was not impressed with about half the tracks from these 2 albums. He should have just made a single disc of the best songs. As is the case with most double albums. I haven't sat down and given it a proper listen yet though.

2 very solid albums. loved both of them. i actually prefer DAY SHIFT ALBUM... but overall 38 songs which majority are dope. beats are bangin. you gotta be deaf not to like the beats
