you're logics are are fucked up; face it, you're just going to turn it which ever way you have to so Kobe looks like the best & LeBron looks like overrated trash.

LeBron doesn't show up once & his career is over. :D

those Kobe teams weren't expected to win it all...this LeBron team was a heavy favorite to go all the way. you see the difference?

--- End quote ---

So you're telling me that after the second straight Championship those Shaq Lakers weren't expected to win? And why are you so down on Shaq? The guy was far and away the best player in the league those three years and then some. Imagine the rings on Jordan's hands if he got to play in the 80s with Kareem then did what he did in the 90s?

Kobe may be the most valuable player in the league until James shows he can win it all, but at the very least even you have to admit that between Shaq was the most dominant big man in basketball and a worthy MVP. The difference between Kobe and Jordan was the only time Jordan got to play with another MVP caliber baller was at the Olympics or at night on the road when he was lonely and porn was available.

thats besides the point.. many argue that those Bulls team were much deeper and better than the Laker 3peat teams. regardless, Lakers did win after they won the 2nd straight, so what are you talking about?

--- End quote ---

The 90s Bulls teams were. The 80s Bulls teams had Jordan and me, and they still made huge runs. Imagine Jordan and Kareem in the 80s. The 90s Bulls look a lot more like the current Lakers; an all around deep team with one major star. The 3 peat Lakers were two major stars with one being the far and away best big man in the league those 3 years.

And I know they did win the third one. You said the Lakers teams that Kobe was on when he won his rings and you said it in plural weren't expected to win. When in truth they were expected to win it all the second Shaq was signed.

I meant when they lost

--- End quote ---

They weren't supposed to be at least championship contenders in 02/03? In 03/04 Kobe had Shaq, Malone, and Payton all with him and Kobe couldn't finish off the lowly Pistons.

All I know after watching tonight's game is a 1982-88 Larry Bird would have made Cleveland win. There I said it.

That is honestly about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Some players do get more nervous when a shot/series/play means more...they don't play as loose, becuase their is more pressure on them. Some players play better in those circumstances, because they become even looser when they have more to prove. The latter is far rarer than the former...and this applies to any profession (not just sports).

Of course of course it's the "dumbest" thing you've heard.  I mean that's why Alex Rodriguez was seen as the biggest choke job in the playoffs, yet somehow he magically produced the way he does in the regular season in the playoffs last year leading the Yankees to a World Series.  Did A-Rod get balls before the 2009 playoffs?  Did he get medication to play more loose?  Did he get laid right before a game?  ZOMG the possibilities!  The answer is, well he just happened to perform like his normal self in the playoffs.  This type of shit happens!  It's called streaks, sometimes they happen in the playoffs sometimes they happen in the regular season.

To say there's no such thing as "clutch" is just dumb, man, and you gotta understand where i'm coming from. Of course, some players who usually fold under pressure might face the pressure calmly at some point. Or it could also be that there are some players who don't always fold under pressure..maybe it depends on the mood they're in as they're facing the pressure. But, really, there's no doubt about it, some players are clearly more prone to folding under pressure, while some are more prone to intensifying their game under that same pressure, and performing at higher levels when there's more at stake. It's really not debatable...PeACe

you finally got the message  ;) it is what it is homie...dont hate the player hate the game

Jaydc:
So then why did it take kobe having to have shaq and pau gasol to win championships if hes the best player on the planet who is heads and toes above everyone?

That is honestly about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Some players do get more nervous when a shot/series/play means more...they don't play as loose, becuase there is more pressure on them, resulting in lackluster performace. Some players play better in those circumstances, because the pressure causes them to bring even more intensity when they have more to prove. The latter is far rarer than the former...and this applies to any profession (not just sports).

i remember Tim Duncan hit a game winning or game tying three in the playoffs last year or maybe the year before; anybody can hit any shot at any given time lol.

--- End quote ---

Imagine if a player can turn it on when the game is the on the line, then wouldn't he turn it on before it got to the point where a clutch moment can happen?

--- End quote ---

LOL...thats like saying "imagine if a girl could orgasm, then wouldn't she orgasm before it got to the point of climax so she could enjoy the sex just as much throughout the act?"

you're making no sense...certain players peak at different moments. some players play good when they're mad, some play bad. some players play good under pressure, some play worse...you're not taking human emotion into this.. we don't have robots out there playing for us LOL
